Why Use Gtechniq EXO?

EXOv4 offers a hard film that facilitates the removal of water stains, offers great resistance to all washing chemicals and can help resist micro-scratches. It produces a very glossy, warm and extremely hydrophobic finish.

It has a uniform film that is more durable and resistant to road salt and chemicals than its predecessors. The application is easy, with a slow evaporation time, which leaves more time to achieve a perfect finish.

All of the above, combined with the introduction of a good degree of vortex resistance, means that the EXOv4 represents a big step forward in Last Surface Protection (LSP) technology.

Simple Steps to Help You Get The Best Results

EXOv4 can be applied as a stand-alone coating or as a topcoat for Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer or Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light (CSL) - we recommend applying C1 or CSL as a base coat for easy-to-mark and dark paints.

If you land on C1, EXOv4 must be applied at least 4 hours, but less than 12 hours, after completing the C1 application.

If you pose on CSL, EXOv4 must be applied at least 1 hour after applying the CSL.

Make sure your vehicle is safe from direct sunlight but at a temperature above 5 degrees Celsius, is completely dry and will remain dry for at least 12 hours after application.

Wipe all surfaces using Gtechniq Panel Wipe and a Gtechniq MF1 ZeroR microfiber polishing cloth (apply the Panel Wipe directly to the cloth and not directly to the panel) - if you are applying to the newly applied C1 or CSL, this step is not necessary.

Shake the bottle well and wear gloves

Apply evenly with a good amount of product so that the buffer is saturated.

Apply with the applicator supplied in overlapping strokes over an area of about 50 cm by 50 cm. Wait 1 to 2 minutes after application to a panel and polish with an MF1, followed by a second MF1 to remove burrs, leaving the surface smooth.

Once you have finished covering your vehicle, we recommend that you repeat the process starting in the same place as you did for the first layer and the cladding panels in the same order in order to cover your entire vehicle with two layers of EXO.

Allow the coating to harden for at least 12 hours before exposure to moisture.

After application, we recommend that you do not wash the car for at least 7 days.
