Epoxy resin R 123 and its R 614 hardener is a multifunctional layering resin with a dry surface after hardening.

APPLICATION AREA

Stratification of parts in molds, polystyrene styrofoam covering and reticulated PVC. This resin is particularly well suited for the overlay of aquarium decorations made of Styrofoam. It can be loaded with thixotroper powders for pouring or mixed with sand for resin concrete design in mold reinforcement or soil repair.

Better mechanical resistance is achieved by cooking parts made for 4 hours at 120oC.

R.123 resin has good resistance to diluted acids (except hydrochloric and nitric) oils, essences, brine, seawater etc.

A test is recommended before the products are put in contact.

IMPLEMENTATION

Before taking any material, it is necessary to homogenize the resin and the hardener in order to mix the various components that may have been decanted during storage. The epoxy resin is used with glass frames (with the exception of the glass mat emulsion binding) impregnating done with a brush or a sheepskin roller. Powder-binding glass mats can be impregnated by it. It is not recommended to work below 10oC Epoxy resin R123 suitable for impregnating carbon fibers and kevlar aramide. The work of the composites must be carried out in ventilated premises.
