The polishing pad Monkey Line Skinny Pad Heavy Cut Red is a strong density foam buffer for the initial correction step (Grobie Cut) in detailing. Its rigid honeycomb structure makes it possible to work hard polish and surface defects pronounced without loss of abrasive power during the polishing cycle.
Thanks to its reduced thickness of 18 mm (Skinny format), this pad limits the dissipation of the mechanical energy emitted by the orbital or rotary polishers. It ensures increased stability on the bodywork, reduces the risk of guiding jump and allows precise follow-up of the edges and curves of the vehicle.
This polishing pad is aimed at detailing enthusiasts and professional aesthetic preparators looking for a high yield during the draft phase. It is particularly recommended for the treatment of German or tough varnish requiring a strong mechanical attack closed pad.
This polishing buffer is adapted to the correction of painted and varnished surfaces:
Clean your pad with compressed air or with a specific brush after each pass. A saturated foam in polish residues loses its power of cutting, heats overly and may create new defects on the varnish.
Never work on a hot bodywork or exposed directly to the sun, and do not exert excessive pressure on the polisher: the low thickness of 18 mm transmits directly and could generate destructive heating for the varnish.
Does this cut pad that is likely to expose the paint underlay?
Because of its strong abrasiveness, this pad removes a measurable layer of varnish. The thickness of paint should be checked beforehand and avoid repeated passages on pronounced edges.
Should we systematically pass a finishing pad after the Heavy Cut pad?
Yes I do. A strong cutting pad generally leaves a slight veil of holograms or micro-marring on the varnish. A second finishing step with a softer pad and a finish polish is needed to restore the clarity and gloss of the paint.
How to wash the pad after use?
Rinse the pad with warm water with a specific cleaner for polishing pads or a mild degreaser. Press it without twisting to evacuate the water, then let it dry in the open air, face foam down.
