Menzerna Marine Gelcoat Premium Gloss 1 Litre

Menzerna Gelcoat Premium Gloss is a glossy compound that allows for exceptional rendering on polyester boats with a gelcoat finish. It allows a mirror finish especially on dark gelcoat.

Renovating a polyester gelcoat is a difficult step that requires a lot of manpower. You can complete your renovation with a sanding to close the porosity of your gelcoat.

The sanding is mainly done with abrasive discs on film support in grain 500, 800 and 1500 and a last sanding pass with a Trizact P3000 disc.
Depending on the surface condition, one can consider not sanding with grain 500.
Not only does the sanding step close the porosity of the gelcoat, but it also treats important scratches before polishing.
After the final sanding stage, we will start the polishing phase with the Menzerna Premium One-Step Polish and a Heavy Cut pad or wool pad. The use of a circular polishing machine (a rotary) saves time in the polishing phases but should only be used on light shades. On dark shades, a long-running (15 or 21 mm) orbital (double-action) machine is preferable to avoid hologram traces.

A perfect finish is allowed with Gelcoat Premium Gloss.

The use of good microfibers with a 400g grammage allows the removal of polishing/glossing residues during the renovation work. A Scangrip color lamp will make the job easier by highlighting defects.

Gelcoat Premium Gloss is used with a Soft Cut pad.
