Information:

Over time, your body will accumulate small imperfections, not visible to the eye but to the touch. These contaminants are glued to the paint and cannot be removed by a simple wash. The body is then rough. The tar, the honeydew, the sap of the trees,... are often the most common and visible contaminants; can also be removed using Alchimy Tar Cleaner. These contaminants gradually accumulate on your body, the shine of the paint diminishes. Some contaminants are acidic and thus corrosive. Surface contamination also consists of inorganic particles from industrial fallout, brake dust soot, etc. Some of these particles oxidize and over time, a discoloration of painted surfaces appears, the paint becomes duller. Whatever the region, the season, this particles settle and stick to your body. It is recommended to decontaminate a vehicle once a year, or even every 2 years for a vehicle used occasionally.

How do you decontaminate your vehicle?

Using a decontamination gum.

The clay used in decontamination gums is specific. It consists of a mixture of a flexible plastic resin (polybutene) and different qualities of abrasive particles. The decontamination gum is to be used as an "applicator buffer" by performing straight movements. Contaminants are then removed by rubbing and trapped in the decontamination gum.

How does the use of a decontamination gum not scratch the body?

The use of a gum is ALWAYS done with the help of a suitable lubricant. The lubricant facilitates and softens the passage of the gum thus avoiding the risk of micro-scratches. The gum maintains its performance (removes and traps contaminants). Nett'Lux Alchimy is an excellent lubricant for the use of decontamination gums.

The F7 has fine abrasive grains to ensure decontamination for very fragile paints (soft varnish). Also perfect for a quick and safe decontamination at all times (between 2 seasons, before a new renovation, before the installation of a new protection, etc.).

The H7 has larger abrasive grains to ensure deep decontamination. Perfectly suited to "medium" and "hard" varnishes. Also recommended for decontamination before a correction of defects: polishing phase.

How to use it:

Use on previously washed surfaces. Alchimy Decontamination Gum should be used with a specific lubricant. Nett'Lux Alchimy is ideal.

Always work panel by panel (door, wing, hood) to break down into small surfaces (25 x 25 cm). Beforehand, lubricate the surface with Nett'Lux Alchimy, knead the gum and flatten it to obtain an excellent grip.

1. Spray Nett'Lux on the surface to be decontaminated.
2. Pass the gum with low pressure by making straight movements (following the body lines). A dozen round trips may be necessary (or more). It is important to always work on a carefully lubricated surface. Check on the touch that the surface is smooth. Repeat if necessary.
3. Wipe product residues with a microfiber. Maxi Extra Alchimy and Cachemyr Alchimy microfibers are ideal.
4. Redesign the gum to find a clean surface and decontaminate the next panel.

NOTE: Do not use without lubricant. Replace gum when it is saturated with contaminants. Replace it in case of a fall on the ground.

Tips and advice:

In winter or in low temperatures, the gum can be hard, so you just have to dip it in hot water for 5 minutes to give it flexibility.
Allow the gum to slide on the body, using only low pressures, always follow the body lines, avoid circular movements. More than 10 round trips of the gum may be required to ensure excellent decontamination. Do not hesitate to lubricate during the process. Check the surface condition with the outside of the hand. The surface should become smooth again. Wipe the decontaminated surface with a microfiber. Move to the next surface and renew the operation.

During the decontamination phase, the gum will "load" with contaminants. It needs to be remodeled frequently to trap accumulated contaminants. Then just fold it in 2, then again in 2, etc.


NOTE: If the gum falls on the ground, it is imperative to change it. Continuing to use it could create a disaster on the paint.

INFO: Using this type of gum removes all the protections you may have applied to your body. After this phase of decontamination, you need to re-protect your body.


Storage: Store in its original plastic and packaging box between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius.
