Description

The Protec Rust Vernis Metal Black Transparent Easylab Mat is a high quality varnish designed to protect and enhance ferrous metals (steel, cast iron) and non-ferrous, whether polished, brushed or rusted. This varnish stops corrosion while preserving the natural appearance of the metal, offering a matt black finish with elegant shades of grey and black. Ideal for indoor and outdoor use, it guarantees lasting protection against weather and UV.

Main features

• Anti-corrosion protection Contains corrosion inhibitors to prevent the formation of new rust.
• Cosmetic finish : Keeps the raw or patinated appearance of the metal with a transparent matte black colour.
• Polyvalence : Suitable for gates, gates, locks, furniture, decorative objects, etc.
• Resistance : Flexible film resistant to UV, weather and climatic variations.
• Performance 15 to 18 m2 per litre (depending on the application).
• Drying :
  • Dry to touch: 6 to 8 hours at 20 °C.
  • Maximum hardness: 48 hours.

Implementation advice

Surface preparation

• Make sure the surface is clean, dry, defatted and removed from non-stick rust (use a fine metal brush).
• Avoid applying to hot metal or in the sun.

Method of application

• With brush : Apply 4 regular layers for optimal protection.
• Gun Dilute with 5 to 10% White Spirit and apply 4 or more layers.
• Shake well before use.

Drying and maintenance

• Drying : Wait 6 to 8 hours between each layer at 20 °C.
• Maintenance of tools : Clean the White Spirit immediately after use.
• Tip : In case of bleaching due to residual moisture, use the Anti-voile diluent 0402.

Precautions for use

• Work in a well ventilated space or wear a protective mask.
• Use rubber gloves when applying.
• Do not ingest and keep out of reach of children.
• Store in a cool and dry place, sheltered from heat.
• Recondition the product in a suitable packaging for better storage.
