3M 59015 Plastic Restorer - 500ml

Description
The Plastic Restorer 3M 59015 is an abrasive polishing liquid designed to remove sanding strips on polycarbonates during renovation operations.

Application area
When renovating polycarbonate surfaces, sanding operations are often necessary. These, even with very fine abrasives (ex Trizact™ P3000) leave micro-scratches that need to be softened to give the surface all its clarity.

Used with a 3M 50499 green polishing foam mounted on a rotating chandelier (1500 -2000 rpm), the Plastic Restorer 3M 59015 liquid reduces the sanding scratches left by the Trizact™ P3000.
The final clarity and transparency will then be obtained with the Plastic Polish 3M 59016 liquid.

How to use it
1. Hide adjacent items if necessary.
2. Remove imperfections on the surface with adequate abrasive (typically 3M 255P P500, 3M 260L P800, 3M Trizact P1000, 3M Trizact P3000). Depending on the nature and importance of the defect, it is not always necessary to start from the P500 or even the P800... Use a low-off orbital sander (75 mm diameter) for this purpose.
3. Equip a 75 mm diameter chandelier with a clean, dry 50499 green foam (and tray 3M 02700).
4. Shake the plastic Restorer 59015 vial before use.
5. Place a little liquid on the surface or on the foam.
6. Polish (speed 1500-2000 rpm, light pressure), until the sanding strips have disappeared.
7. Wipe off any excess with the microfiber cloth 3M 60671.
8. Clean the surface to control the effectiveness of the polishing: the sanded area must no longer appear. If necessary, it is necessary to insist on continuing the polishing operation.
9. Proceed to the final stage (Plastic Polish 3M 59016) to regain perfect transparency.
10. Rinse foams with clear water, allow to dry and store free from contamination for future use.
